Dispensary Opening Hours are Changing 
 
From the 4th November the Dispensary will close at 6pm 
 
New opening hours will be 8am - 1pm and 2pm - 6pm 
Phone lines remain the same. 

Repeat Prescriptions

Please allow 5 working days. We do not do 'same day' prescriptions.

You can order your repeat prescription as follows:

  • Online - You can now order your repeat prescription online at your convenience via the links above. Patients must be aged 16 and over to use this service. Using the online options ensures that you can track the progress of your prescription and can see when it is available at your registered pharmacy.
  • Prescription Box - There is a box outside the dispensary window specifically for repeat prescription requests.  All you need to do is write down your name, date of birth, current address and the medication you require and put it in the box.  Your request will be dealt with as normal.
  • Post - You may also put a request in writing and send it to us by post.
  • Email - Please email dispensary direct if you would prefer this option- blandford.dispensary@nhs.net

If you are unable to use any of these online or email options and require further assistance please speak to your pharmacy who may be able to assist you. Please note we are unable to accept prescription requests over the telephone.

The dispensary operating hours are Monday to Friday 08:00 – 13:00 then 14:00 -18:30.

Electronic Prescribing Service

This practice is set up for the electronic prescription service.

This means that for most patients we can send your prescription to your chosen chemist directly saving you having to come down to the surgery.

To get your prescription sent to your chosen pharmacy you will have to ask reception to sign up.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to speak to a doctor, pharmacist, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and reminders will appear on your repeat slip. Please check with your chemist if there are any messages on your repeat slip if you are not taking it away with your medication.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
